BOYS Div. I: St. John’s sr Jonathan Green ran the only sub-16 of the meet, 15:54.3, to pace St. John’s to a dominant victory with 60 pts. in the 25-team field. Lexington won a close battle for second with Cambridge Rindge and Latin, 126-132. Green, a 2011 Foot Locker Finalist, avenged his only loss of the season to Wachusett sr Colin Bennie, who was third in 16:19.5. Lexington’sNathaniel Adams was second in 16:15.7. GIRLS Div. I: Peabody sr Catarina Rocha, a Foot Locker finalist last year, completely dominated with an 18:49.4 victory, more than a minute ahead of runner-up Christine Davis of Acton-Boxborough (20:11.6). Rocha led NE#9 Peabody (Marc Bloom’s rankings) to the win among the 18 teams as they scored 88 to Lexington’s 105. BOYS Div. II: Newburyport’s Nick Carleo outran Burlington’s Paul Hogan, 16:20.4 to 16:23.3, as the two finished more than 20 seconds clear of the rest of the field. Bishop Feehan scored 68 toNewburyport’s 88, taking the top two spots in the 19-team field. GIRLS Div. II: Bedford’s Erin Dietz triumphed in a race much deeper than the D1 affair, running 19:20.9 as seven girls broke 20. Bishop Feehan’s Abbey McNulty was second in 19:33.5 and Sutton’s Jessie Cardin third in 19:36.2. Three teams rose above the 18-team field, with Bishop Feehan’s 77 topping Ursuline Academy (93) and Hamilton-Wenham (97). More news |
